Relationship=5th great-grandson of Roger Billings.
     George William Hall was born on 14 April 1825 at Providence, Providence County, Rhode Island, USA.4,5 He was the son of Nathan Hall and Eliza A Billings.2,1 George William Hall was probably the person counted (but not named) in the family of Nathan Hall in the 1840 US Federal Census for Providence, Providence County, Rhode Island, USA.6 George William Hall was listed in the family of Nathan Hall in the 1850 US Federal Census for Providence, Providence County, Rhode Island, USA.7 George William Hall and Nathan Hall were painters on 6 November 1850 at Providence, Providence County, Rhode Island, USA.8 George William Hall died on 23 July 1893 at Providence, Providence County, Rhode Island, USA, at age 689,3,4 and was buried at Swan Point Cemetery, Providence, Providence County, Rhode Island, USA.10

Harold Ward Dana says that this George W Hall married Harriet J Burr but (1) that marriage occurred in 1849 and George is listed with his father and sisters in the 1850 census; (2) Vital record of Rhode Island 1636-1850: First Series: births, marriages and deaths: a family register for the people, by James N. Arnold (Vol. 5 : Pg. 68) lists the marriage as Hall George W., of William, and Harriet J. Burr, of James, both of Freetown, Mass; clearly not this man.2
